If you want to quickly get started with building a Pattern for common use cases, you can use Pattern Menu to select a Blueprint. A Blueprint is a pre-built Pattern that you can edit however you want- renaming, removing, or adding Fields; renaming, adding, and removing subschema; and doing anything else you would be able to do during Pattern Creation is possible when building off of a Blueprint.

You have two options when creating a Pattern:

  1. Create a Pattern using a pre-made Blueprint
  2. Create a Pattern from scratch"

To get started with a Blueprint, navigate to the "Create Pattern" button within Pattern Studio:

This will bring you to the following screen, where you will be presented with the option to either start a new Pattern from scratch, or use a Blueprint. In this case, click on "Start with Blueprint" to select a Blueprint of your choice:

After clicking on "Start with Blueprint", you will see the following screen that lists out Industries/ Use Cases that help organize the Blueprints:

Clicking on the dropdown will allow you to select an Industry/ Use Case

Once you've found the Blueprint you would like to use, please click on it and then click "Continue."

After continuing, you will be brought to the Pattern Creation screen that has been pre-populated with all the information related to the selected Blueprint. All information here is fully customizable and can be changed to fit your business needs:

 The Pattern name and description can be changed to fit your specific needs

All Fields, Subschemas, and select Field details have been created for the Pattern and can be changed

Once you have made all desired changes to the Pattern, feel free to click Save and observe that the new Pattern has been added to the Pattern list and is enabled.
