Automation
Fields are populated via the Automation tab, where you can create Kits. Kits define a set of rules and strategies for identifying the pattern around values you would like to extract from the document. These rules and strategies are referred to as Tools and you can have several Tools within a Kit and can even use multiple Kits to populate a Field with multiple records. Please note that when adding a Kit, the Kit is associated with a single Schema, although you can associate any number of Kits with a given Primary or Sub Schema.
To create a Kit, just locate the "Automation" tab of your Pattern. Please note that you will have to have saved your Pattern and reaccessed it from the Pattern List in order to create a Kit.
This will then open up the following screen if you haven't added any Kits before:
The Kit addition screen allows you to name the Kit (which helps keep you organized if you use multiple Kits on the same Schema) and select a Schema to be associated with it. Selecting the Schema is how you will associate an automation strategy (the Tool) with a specific Field within the Schema.
Once you add the Kit, you will then be able to add Filters and Tools.
This section of the user guide will cover the following Tools:
